Energy pose (Tejasasana)
Tejasasana or the Energy pose is a variation of the Halasana. It also has the same benefits as the Halasana, mainly strengthening the shoulders, the core muscles, and stretching out the spine. It's also great in alleviating abdominal issues such as constipation, indigestion, and gas. This position also aids in alleviating menstrual problems as well.
Similar to Halasana, people with cervical spine and shoulder issues should exercise caution in doing this asana.
How to Execute Tejasasana:
- Assume the position in Halasana
- Once stable, hold the knees with both hands.
- Hold this position for 2 minutes before returning to original position.
Practice: 3 rounds x 2 minutes
